Generous paid time off, 401k program with company match. More about us and this role: - During the season we work longer hours; concert days can be 14-hr workdays and we often have concerts on back-to-back days. We also work on non-show days; it is not uncommon to have no days off some weeks, or only one day off during concert season. - We plan on our summers being spent predominantly at the venue. We work very hard in the hot sun, cold wind, and rainy rain (or snow), and those things are almost never even a problem. There's no getting around this, you must enjoy, or at least not detest, working outside in all kinds of weather. And there's also bugs and deer and bushes and the river; you should be comfortable being in the elements for a long workday. The Box Office Manager does primarily work outside the gates of the venue and inside the actual Box Office but the accommodations are most definitely affected by the weather. - Our schedules/time are dependent upon the schedules of the artists/tours. We are on their timeline and their deadlines, which means the plan for the day may change seven times before noon and still not be done. You must be extremely comfortable with an ever-changing, dynamic world. If consistency is your jam, then this gig is likely not. - The amphitheater is within the Old Mill District, and we are one big happy family. We expect everyone on the team to participate with guest interactions, answering the phone, assisting patrons no matter their need, and helping team members when they need a hand. We are one united team, and co-workers are quick to help even if it isn't within their usual domain. - We appreciate diversity and want everyone who comes to the venue or works with our team to feel welcomed and respected. - This atypical job is challenging, both physically and mentally, and the right fit will be someone who enjoys working and would be energized to be part of a team of like-minded, hard-working people. Someone seeking a normal 40-hr work week should not apply for this job. - This job is predominantly Front-of-House, meaning duties backstage are very minimal and often nonexistent. The right candidate will be disinterested in the illusion that this job is all about rock stars and fame, or watching the shows.
Spoiler:
it's very much not, but it is about really great people like our partners, guests and crew.
