Responsibilities for an Assistant Business Office Manager with
Phoebe Allentown:
Meet with all residents and families to discuss the financial impact on the residents within seventy-two (72) hours of admission. Review their insurance coverage and discuss potential out of pocket expenses; review the potential need for Medical Assistance and program requirements. Work independently to achieve accounts receivable/collection goals through room visits, phone calls, letters, and prompt recognition of collection issues. Verify insurance coverage for current resident roster for the SNF on a weekly basis. Continually assesses residents' financial status to determine potential Medicaid eligibility. Process monthly resident invoices and respond to all inquiries related to the billing within Twenty-Four (24) hours. Obtain payments and post cash batches daily. Reconcile the cash postings to deposits on a weekly basis, ensuring the smooth completion of monthly closeout. Ensures all charges are entered timely and accurately. Provide coverage for resident banking coordinator to include RFMS transactions, dispensing petty cash, and mail management. Provide coverage for Cash Analyst to include managing cash deposits and cash log reconciliation. Processes all resident refunds in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare and submit long-term care insurance claims monthly. Prepare and present the Private Pay AR report for the monthly meeting with campus Administration. Function as the primary point of contact for residents and family concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues, or escalating them to the Senior Business Office Manager when necessary. The ability to deliver excellent customer service to all residents, families, and coworkers. High school diploma required. Minimum one (1) year experience desired, but not necessary. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills; above average word processing/data entry skills. Working knowledge of SNF resident registration, billing, accounts receivable, cash management, industry regulations, business office operations, insurance benefits, and refund processing.
