JOB DESCRIPTIONThe James A. Michener Art Museum is looking for an experienced HR Administrator / Office Manager to report to the Director of Finance. This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Handle HR paperwork and policiesSupport all questions or requests related to internal and external HR resourcesMaintain paper and electronic records of employee dataAnnually, help put together benefit packages and be hands-on during open enrollmentKeep HR policies up to date (Employee Handbook), managing compliance and legal consultingKeep track of healthcare (medical, dental, disability); ensure bills are correct and submit for paymentManage recruiting, on-boarding, and off-boarding of staffPerform the recruitment process by job posting, identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contractsPerform employee onboarding and orientation including I-9 verification, coordinating first-day preparation, training schedules, system access, policy review, and integration into the team; create new employee recordsPerform employee off-boarding and maintain documentation, utilizing legal counsel when necessaryManage HR functions related to workplace/performance/employee satisfactionManage the employee performance review process and maintain recordsField employee grievances and facilitate conflict resolutionBe the POC for all HR questionsFile Workers Compensation claimsHelp employees with the disability process when neededMaintain solid understanding of HR regulations, latest HR trends, and best practicesManage Bookkeeping functionsPerform basic bookkeeping duties including accounts payable processing and expense reconciliationsProcess biweekly payroll and corresponding 403(b) contribution and journal entriesRecord daily deposits and communicate with various departments regarding receiptAssistance with annual 1099 processingStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially ExcelExperience with Sage a plusOffice ManagementWork with external IT team for training, reconciliation of equipment, troubleshooting, and onboarding/offboarding tasksOrder and manage office equipment and supplies Scheduling assistance and special projects as needed recblid b7gpt0x1wmodrhmethh8pjudxg7zlw
