Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our fast paced team. This pivotal role involves managing comprehensive bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in small business and corporate accounting, with expertise in QuickBooks online. As a key contributor, you will oversee all aspects of bookkeeping operations, from data entry to financial reporting, supporting the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including account allocations, reconciling, 941 payments, quarterly reporting, and payroll management using systems such as QBO and Drake Accounting. Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee payroll processing and related tax filings with a variety of payrolls. Maintain accurate records through data entry and double-entry bookkeeping techniques across various accounting software such as QuickBooks. Conduct monthly financial closings, prepare financial statements, and assist with budgeting and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements during all accounting processes. Support non-profit or governmental accounting functions as needed, including expense tracking and compliance reporting. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data. Utilize technical accounting skills to analyze complex transactions and ensure proper classification in accordance with GAAP. Qualifications Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role with Sole Propieters, LLCs, or S-Corps. Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP; experience with SOX compliance is preferred. Proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Google Docs, Excel, and similar systems. Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet management and double-entry bookkeeping. Familiarity with payroll management systems and tax regulations related to payroll processing. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10-key typing is a plus. Strong understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, credit analysis, account analysis and financial acumen. Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
