ROLE'S MISSION
Provide administrative and human resources support to the plant, coordinating employee records, recruitment logistics, onboarding, timekeeping and payroll input, training tracking and employee relations documentation, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and company policies while contributing to a safe, organized and productive work environment. Responsibilities
- Sources and screens candidates, schedules interviews and coordinates with staffing agencies for production headcount.
- Processes pre-employment requirements (background checks, drug screens, reference checks) per policy.
- Prepares new hire paperwork, badges and system access; coordinates PPE and uniform issuance with Safety.
- Delivers plant orientation covering policies, safety, GMP and hygiene requirements.
- Keeps HRIS and personnel files accurate, complete and confidential, including I-9/employment eligibility documentation.
- Processes employee status changes (transfers, promotions, terminations) in a timely manner.
- Reviews time clock data, reconciles attendance exceptions and follows up with supervisors.
- Compiles and submits payroll inputs to the HR/Payroll Manager within deadlines.
- Assists employees with benefits questions and coordinates open enrollment activities.
- Liaises with benefits providers and escalates complex cases to the HR Manager.
- Documents attendance and performance issues, and assists supervisors in preparing corrective action forms.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee relations matters and investigation records.
- Maintains the training matrix and schedules mandatory training (safety, GMP, harassment prevention, etc.).
- Tracks certifications and follows up on overdue trainings with department supervisors.
- Manages office supplies, vendor invoices and front-desk/reception duties.
- Coordinates visitor and contractor sign-in per plant security procedures.
- Organizes plant events, communicates announcements and supports culture and recognition initiatives.
- Posts and updates communication boards for the production floor.
- Maintains required labor law postings and supports unemployment claim responses.
- Assists with internal and external HR audits and recordkeeping requirements (e.g., OSHA logs).
- Tracks issuance and returns of uniforms, PPE and lockers, coordinating with Purchasing and Safety.
- Prepares HR metrics reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism) and meeting materials.

Preferable:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
Acceptable:
High school diploma/equivalent combined with relevant HR/administrative experience.
- Working knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems, MS Office and applicable labor and employment regulations.
