Must have previous experience with insurance and medical billing.
Summary of Duties:
Responsible for collecting, posting, and managing account payments. Responsible for submitting claims and following up with insurance companies to verify claim status. Contacting patients on outstanding balances. Help with patient flow as needed, schedule appt., visit entries, etc Hours are 8am - 1:30pm Mon - Wed-Fri 1:30-7:00 Tue-Thurs. Sat 9-1
Essential Functions:
  • Prepares and submits clean claims to insurance companies
  • Answers questions from patients, staff, and insurance companies
  • Identifies and resolves patient billing problems
  • Prepares, reviews, and sends patient statements
  • Follows and reports on delinquent accounts
  • Various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and Resubmitting claims to third party payers
  • Processes and post payments from insurance companies
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Answers billing related questions from physicians
  • Excellent attention to details required
