Managing Partner About the Position We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and personable Office Manager / HR Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of our law firm while supporting key human resources functions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping an office running smoothly. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities, employee support, vendor coordination, and HR-related tasks while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Key Responsibilities Office Management & Operations Oversee the daily operations of the law office and ensure the office functions efficiently and professionally. Serve as a primary point of contact for office-related questions and administrative needs. Coordinate office supplies, equipment, facilities, maintenance, repairs, and service providers. Manage relationships with vendors and coordinate contracts, invoices, and office services. Maintain office policies, procedures, and administrative records. Coordinate office events, meetings, firm functions, and employee activities. Assist with technology and IT-related coordination, including communicating with outside IT vendors as needed. Monitor office expenses and assist with budgeting and administrative purchasing. Ensure the office maintains a professional, organized, and welcoming environment. Assist attorneys and staff with general administrative needs and special projects. Oversee receptionist and fill in when needed. Human Resources Support Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for attorneys and staff. Maintain confidential employee personnel files and HR records. Assist with recruiting, including posting positions, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and facilitating the hiring process. Coordinate new-hire paperwork, background checks, employment documentation, and orientation. Oversee employee benefits administration and serve as a resource for routine employee questions. Support payroll administration by providing accurate employee information and coordinating with payroll provider, Assist with performance review processes, employee communications, and firm-wide initiatives. Help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and firm policies. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee and firm information. Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in office management, administration, human resources, or a related field; experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of professionalism and discretion. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business software. Ability to learn and work with firm-specific technology and systems. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information. Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in a law firm or other professional services environment. Experience with HRIS, benefits, or applicant-tracking systems. Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices. Experience coordinating vendors, office facilities, and administrative budgets.
