Job Description
Office Manager / Administrative Assistant Full-Time | $18-$22/hour, depending on experience We are an established service company looking for a sharp, dependable person to become a key part of our office team. This is not a narrowly defined receptionist or clerical position. You will work closely with the owner and other members of our leadership and office team, learn how the business operates, and help keep things moving day to day. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable with technology, communicates well, learns quickly, and is willing to take ownership of whatever needs to be handled. What You'll Do Responsibilities will include: Answering phones and communicating professionally with customers Helping coordinate and dispatch service calls Providing administrative support to the owner and office team Managing paperwork, records, filing, and other day-to-day office functions Assisting with invoicing, billing processes, and customer billing portals Handling banking and payment-related administrative tasks as needed Assisting with light bookkeeping and bookkeeping-related duties Learning company systems, customers, and processes well enough to help answer questions and solve problems Helping organize information and keep important tasks from falling through the cracks Taking on additional administrative responsibilities as you learn the business This is a varied position. Some days will be predictable; others will require you to shift gears, solve a problem, learn something new, or help wherever the office needs you. What We're Looking For The right person will be: Highly organized and dependable A fast and accurate typist Comfortable working with computers and learning new software Technologically capable and willing to keep learning Professional and confident when communicating with customers Able to manage several priorities without becoming overwhelmed Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture Comfortable asking questions and figuring things out Assertive enough to keep things moving while still working well with others Willing to take responsibility rather than waiting to be told every next step Interested in becoming increasingly valuable to the company over time Experience in office administration, customer service, bookkeeping, accounting support, dispatching, or a similar role is helpful. An associate degree or training in office administration, business, bookkeeping, or a related field is also helpful, but equivalent real-world experience is absolutely welcome. Why Work Here?
