Job Description
Maximizes billing and collections by exercising all essential functions of the medical billing cycle in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinates the work of support staff in doing the same. Ability to audit, report generation and dealing with issues relevant to their account. Runs required daily and monthly reports and takes appropriate action to resolve issues indicated by the reports. knowledgeable of revenue cycle management. Ability to manage and monitor front office functions and procedures. Ability to set priorities and manage multiple demands effectively with minimal direction and oversight. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain positive demeanor. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding and full scope of medical billing process. Familiarity with commercial and government insurance guidelines, medical terminology, and HIPAA standards. Initiative and problem-solving skills. Basic accounting skills. Minimum 5 years in medical billing doing the full range of the medical billing cycle. Full service Cardiology billing and coding experience required. Eclinical is very helpful.
