Business Office Manager - Skilled Nursing Experience Required Lawrence Street Health Care Center Tomball, TX Full-Time | DailyPay Available Lead With Accuracy. Serve With Compassion. Make an Impact. Lawrence Street Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to lead the financial and administrative operations of our skilled nursing facility. This is an important leadership position for a knowledgeable long-term care professional who understands that a successful business office requires more than accurate billing. It also requires organization, accountability, strong follow-through, and compassionate communication with residents and families. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with skilled nursing billing, accounts receivable, collections, Medicaid eligibility, resident trust accounts, and month-end reporting. Previous business office or healthcare billing experience within a skilled nursing facility is

DailyPay—access your earned wages when you need them Competitive compensation based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contributions Paid time off Company-paid life insurance Supportive facility and corporate leadership Collaborative, resident-centered work environment Opportunity to lead an essential department and make a meaningful impact Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily financial and administrative functions of the facility's business office Manage resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and account reconciliation Process and monitor Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, insurance, and private-pay accounts Track Medicaid applications, pending cases, eligibility, and redeterminations Maintain resident trust fund accounts in accordance with state and federal requirements Review aging reports and follow up consistently on outstanding balances Complete month-end closing, reporting, and required financial documentation accurately and on time Verify resident financial information and supporting documentation during the admissions process Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents and families regarding financial responsibilities, account balances, and payment arrangements Partner with admissions, medical records, nursing, administration, and corporate support to ensure accurate and timely billing Maintain organized, complete, and survey-ready business office records Protect confidential information and maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations Qualifications Previous business office, billing, or accounts receivable experience in a skilled nursing facility is required Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, insurance, and private-pay billing Experience with accounts receivable, collections, Medicaid pending cases, eligibility requirements, and resident trust accounts Knowledge of skilled nursing reimbursement processes and regulatory requirements Previous Business Office Manager experience is strongly preferred Experience with PointClickCare or a comparable long-term care software system is preferred Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet critical deadlines Professional communication and customer-service skills Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with discretion and compassion Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic billing systems High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting, business, finance, or healthcare administration is preferred The Right Candidate You understand the business side of skilled nursing and take ownership of your work.
