This position provides leadership oversight while actively working alongside the Front Desk team to support guests, maintain service standards, and ensure smooth operations. Essential Responsibilities Lead PM and evening Front Office operations. Provide a consistent leadership presence during assigned shifts. Handle guest complaints, service recovery, VIPs, and complex guest situations. Coach and support Front Desk team members in real time. Monitor lobby standards and the overall guest experience. Assist with Manager on Duty responsibilities as assigned. Support training, onboarding, and employee accountability. Ensure effective handoff between AM, PM, and overnight teams. Support the Front Office Manager with departmental follow-up and operational priorities. Monitor adherence to Front Office procedures, including check-in, checkout, payments, reservation notes, folios, guest communication, and upgrades. Support proper use of HMS Infor, Canary, Revinate, HotSOS, Workday, and other Front Office systems. Hands-On Front Desk Support The Assistant Front Office Manager is expected to regularly work the Front Desk, including: Checking guests in and out. Answering phones and responding to guest requests. Supporting high-volume arrival and departure periods. Assisting with room assignments and special requests. Covering callouts, breaks, and staffing gaps as needed. Supporting the transition between evening and overnight operations. This is a working leadership position. The Assistant Front Office Manager is expected to remain actively involved in daily Front Desk operations while providing leadership and operational oversight. Qualifications Previous hotel Front Office or guest services experience required. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong guest service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work PM shifts, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs.
