Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy Business Administrator to support the day-to-day financial, human resources, and administrative operations of North Street Press Club. We are growing, two additional Press Club locations are on the way, and this role will help keep the business running smoothly through that expansion. This position is being filled to cover a maternity leave and is temporary in nature; however , there is a strong possibility that it will become a permanent role. The right candidate will be comfortable handling confidential financial and employee information, working closely with ownership, and using modern tools, including AI software, to work efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial & Reporting Accurately prepare monthly financial reports and oversee weekly Profit & Loss reports for North Street Press Club Pay weekly vendor invoices Pay weekly bills and monthly sales/meals tax Write weekly entertainment checks Maintain and organize weekly receipts and financial documentation Enter written checks into QuickBooks daily/weekly Maintain accountability of employee time clocks and labor reporting Manage payroll submission and track wage garnishments 2. Human Resources Oversee Indeed postings and candidate screening Hold in-person second interviews Onboard new hires Maintain employee files and HR documentation Assist in the disciplinary and termination process when needed Keep training manuals and the employee handbook up to date 3. Administrative & Executive Support Reorder office supplies and maintain office organization Perform bank runs when needed (deposits / pull change) Create menu tests for servers Support business operations tasks including, but not limited to: customer service issues, writing checks, organizing and saving important business documentation, filling out business applications, coordinating schedules, and running business-related errands as needed Additional tasks and projects may be assigned by the Owner as business needs arise
Requirements:
Must consent to and pass a background check Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA); this role has access to business accounts, financial records, and confidential employee information Must be willing to work with and use AI software as part of daily workflows Experience with QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping software preferred Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines Professional discretion when handling sensitive financial and HR matters Reliable transportation for bank runs and business errands Available Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00
PM Compensation & Details:
