Job Description

Dental Office Manager About Us We are a growing, doctor-owned dental practice with multiple doctors and expanding locations in the Richmond, VA area. As a doctor-owned practice, we're able to make decisions that put our patients and our team first — and we're looking for an experienced Office Manager to help lead that growth. About the Role We're seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our practice. You'll be the go-to leader for our front office, working directly with our clinical coordinator to ensure patients have a great experience from the first phone call through every visit, while keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced dental office. Leadership training and CE opportunities available. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day front office operations, including proper patient scheduling, patient communication, and a team centered environment Work together with the clinical coordinator to ensure smooth patient visits Manage and coach administrative and front desk staff on patient service, phone etiquette, and office protocols Coordinate staffing and the clinical schedule, adjusting for call-outs and availability changes to keep coverage on track Partner with HR/payroll on employee administration such as time records, new-hire paperwork, and benefits coordination Support insurance verification and billing accuracy, and help resolve patient billing or treatment plan questions Handle escalated patient concerns with professionalism and follow-through Manage recruiting and hiring: post openings, screen applicants, conduct interviews, and lead new employee onboarding Conduct performance reviews with staff, provide coaching, and address performance issues as needed Monitor scheduling software and online booking to ensure accuracy across systems Oversee opening/closing procedures and ensure the office is secure at the end of each day Lead or support daily team huddles to keep everyone aligned on the schedule and priorities Qualifications Prior experience as a dental office manager or in a dental office leadership/lead front desk role required Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix or similar) preferred Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Comfortable managing staff, giving feedback, and holding a team accountable Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of dental insurance and billing processes is a plus Benefits Health insurance Paid time off 401(k)
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
