Office Manager Duties An Office Manager would oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring smooth workflow and support for both in-field and administrative teams. Administrative oversight : Managing correspondence, phone calls, and serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Budget & finance : Overseeing the office budget, processing invoices, and managing vendor relationships. Facilities & resources : Scheduling maintenance, ordering and managing inventory of office supplies and equipment, and ensuring a safe, organized workspace. Human resources support : Assisting with onboarding, training, and maintaining employee records. Event & travel coordination : Planning company events, retreats, or holiday parties; arranging travel for employees. Policy & compliance : Updating and implementing office policies, including health and safety standards. Technology & systems : Managing office software, data entry, and maintaining secure information systems.
Qualifications & Skills Education :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; equivalent administrative experience may be accepted.
Experience :
3-6 years in office management, administrative leadership, or a related role; experience in a regulated or technical industry is a plus.
Skills :
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft 365, HRIS); ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications :
Preferred certifications include Certified Administrative Professional (CAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or OSHA 10. Industry fit : Experience in utilities, construction, or engineering sectors can be advantageous given Service Electric's focus.
