The ideal candidate will be a top-notch professional with impeccable attention to detail and superior customer service. This is a Department Head position and reports directly to the facility Administrator. The Business Office Manager is responsible for: Maintenance of necessary billing and financial information on resident business files. Maintenance of individual resident trust accounts and reconciliation of collective accounts monthly. Month-end closing and corporate reporting. Collection efforts with Business Office staff, including warrant in debts. Knowledge of reimbursement system, allowable services and documentation required so billings are accurate. Accurate records of payer sources, appropriate record keeping, and communication with residents regarding bills.
Required Experience:
Technical knowledge of Inpatient Skilled Nursing, Managed Care and long-term care billing for Medicare and Medicaid. One to two years' experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping is preferred in the long-term care or healthcare industry. Experience managing staff members, including bookkeepers and receptionists. Knowledge of basic office equipment & Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of billing software preferred. Good interpersonal skills needed to effectively work with residents, families, and outside agencies.
Education requirements:
two-year degree of college level accounting courses. A four-year college degree preferred.
