Job Description
We're seeking a full-time office manager for a local lawn and landscape business in Ellensburg. This position oversees administrative and operational tasks, serving as the point of contact between clients and the office. The ideal candidate must be resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently. Key responsibilities include client communication, scheduling, managing work orders, invoicing, advertising, and maintaining organized records. Schedule:
This is a full-time, in-person position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (30-minute lunch break). Possible overtime during busiest season.The position:
The office manager is the main point of contact for all clients. This position is involved in all aspects of the daily operations of the business including customer service, scheduling, employee coordination, invoicing, general office and clerical duties, advertising, and purchasing. We are looking for someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating work from start to finish. Effective time management, attention to detail, independent thinking and an "always learning" attitude are vital for ensuring efficient operations and meeting the needs of the company and its customers. Responsibilities - Provide excellent customer experience by handling all client communications by phone and email in a friendly and professional manner. Handle high call volume phone line. Scheduling. Schedule and coordinate appointments with clients for estimates, work completion and other visits. Coordinate daily lawn routes. Work order creation and coordination. Manage calendar and appointments for business. Ensure smooth operations between office, field crews, and customers. Customer invoicing. Coordinate crews and ensure they are set up for success. Data entry. Assist in hiring/onboarding crew members. Assess and learn new software programs as needed. Maintain office and look for ways to continuously improve and streamline for efficiency. Advertising, website, and social media management. Purchasing equipment and supplies. Assist in accounts payable. Maintaining a clean and organized office space. Run errands. Proven experience in an office manager or administration role is strongly preferred. College degree in business administration or related field OR proven work experience equivalent. High proficiency with computers and software is crucial. Able to learn new programs quickly. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and office management systems and procedures. Good typing skills. Ability to understand neighborhoods and locations in Ellensburg and surrounding areas.
