Job Description

Overview:
Goldbelt Falcon is an innovative mid-sized business focused on program management and logistics, systems engineering, metrology and calibration, and research and bioinformatics solutions/services. Falcon focuses on the scientific, technical, and engineering needs of customers charged with defense, homeland security, aerospace technologies, and environmental protection.
Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides part-time administrative and organizational support to leadership and project teams. This entry-level position assists with scheduling, travel coordination, document preparation, and basic project and contract tracking. Training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or individual with internship experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain and manage leadership schedules, Bid & Proposal (B&P) schedules, travel coordination, and other project-related schedules. Provide administrative support for Government contracts, including tracking contract hours, burn rates, and costs compared to budget. Assist with document preparation, editing, formatting, and other administrative activities. Maintain organized records, files, and tracking documents. Assist with data entry, research, and other administrative tasks as needed. Support leadership and project teams with special assignments and other administrative needs. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous internship, administrative, office, or related experience preferred. Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, management, communications, or a related field. Experience with scheduling, travel coordination, document preparation, or data tracking. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheets.
