In this pivotal role, you will support the overall financial and administrative operations of the medical or dental office, ensuring seamless management of billing, coding, patient records, compliance, and staff supervision. Your expertise in healthcare management systems and office administration will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining operational excellence. Responsibilities Assist in overseeing fiscal management activities including budgeting, medical billing, revenue cycle management, and financial reporting to optimize practice profitability. Supervise administrative staff, including medical administrative support personnel, ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient office operations. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as EMR/EHR platforms, maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations. Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure proper utilization management, medical coding accuracy, and adherence to health regulation policies. Support human resources functions such as staff scheduling, performance evaluations, training on medical terminology, and compliance with healthcare staff management standards. Monitor clinic operations related to patient management software and patient records to enhance patient flow and satisfaction. Collaborate with billing departments to ensure accurate medical billing processes and manage accounts receivable efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management within a clinical or dental setting. Strong knowledge of fiscal management, budgeting, medical billing, and revenue cycle processes. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare teams or administrative staff. Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service expertise. In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations, health regulation policies, and compliance standards in healthcare environments. Experience with medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health record systems. Acute care or hospital experience is advantageous; familiarity with managed care and utilization management is preferred.
