We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Back Office Coordinator to join our team at Align Alabama Health & Wellness. This position plays a key role in supporting our providers and keeping the clinical, documentation, insurance, and administrative side of the practice running smoothly. The Back Office Coordinator works behind the scenes to help maintain efficient patient flow, accurate medical records, timely insurance claim submission, and strong communication between providers and the front office. The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare administrative experience, a strong understanding of insurance claims and billing processes, and excellent attention to detail. Chiropractic experience and familiarity with ChiroTouch are strongly preferred. Responsibilities Support providers with daily administrative and documentation needs Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic Coordinate schedule changes with providers and the front office as needed Prepare patient records and documentation for provider review Review insurance information for accuracy and identify potential claim issues Coordinate with the front office regarding insurance benefits, referrals, and prior authorizations Prepare documentation needed to support accurate coding and claim submission Assist with timely and accurate insurance claim submission Post insurance payments accurately Reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) Investigate and resolve claim rejections, denials, and billing issues Follow up on outstanding insurance issues and missing documentation Maintain complete, accurate, and organized patient records Monitor provider documentation for completeness and accuracy Ensure required documentation is maintained within the patient record Work closely with the Patient Advocate and Front Office to coordinate patient care Assist with recall lists, follow-up documentation, and patient care coordination Maintain organization of provider forms, insurance documents, and internal records Assist with reporting, data entry, inventory, and administrative projects Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements at all times Take initiative with outstanding tasks and assist with additional responsibilities as needed Requirements One or more years of healthcare administrative experience preferred Chiropractic office experience strongly preferred Experience with insurance claims, billing processes, and medical documentation Working knowledge of Medicare and commercial insurance Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding concepts Experience posting insurance payments and working with EOBs/ERAs Experience resolving insurance denials, rejected claims, or billing issues Experience using an EHR or practice management system ChiroTouch or ChiroTouch Cloud experience is highly desirable Strong computer and data-entry skills Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with providers and front-office staff Excellent attendance and demonstrated dependability Punctual, professional, and accountable Self-motivated and able to stay productive without constant supervision Willing to take initiative and recognize what needs to be done Able to handle confidential patient, insurance, and financial information appropriately Team-oriented and willing to cross-train and assist where needed Join us as a Back Office Coordinator and become an important part of a growing healthcare team focused on providing excellent patient care and maintaining strong clinical and administrative systems.
