Position Description The Enforcement Specialist I is responsible for the administrative support of the Uniform Services Division. This position performs general office work under the supervision and direction of Captain and is the first line of communication between the public and the Uniform Services Division. General office duties include answering telephones and radio devices, forwarding messages, typing reports, correspondence, memorandums, emails and other forms of written communication, data entry, organization of the area, maintaining the office supply inventory and submitting supply orders. Essential Job Functions Answers phones, takes messages, and answersquestions. Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information filesand processingpaperwork. Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes ande-mail. Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form. Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentationsoftware. File and retrieve documents, records, and reports.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Refers visitors to the appropriate and individual offices. Keeps office supply inventory and makes the monthly orders.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES WHEN ASSIGNED TO THE UNIFORM SERVICES DIVISION
Prepares and enters paperwork following oral and written instructions in order to assist in Civil processes Issues pistol permits, accepts payments, and makes deposits for the permits following correct protocol to insure correct issuance of the permits Keep all records and court orders on file concerning judgments and court writs issued by the various courts with minimum supervision. Will assist in handling unlawful detainers and evictions. Collects and maintains money received for court cost. Keeps Office supply inventory and orders supplies as deemed necessary All other duties assigned by supervisors.
