Job Description
Position Summary :
The Front Desk Associate is the Director of First Impressions and the welcoming face of CCA. This role sets the tone for families, children, visitors, and staff each day by creating a warm, organized, and professional environment while supporting smooth daily operations throughout the school.Key Responsibilities:
- Open the door and warmly greet families, children, and visitors
- Build familiarity with children and families by learning names and knowing classroom placements
- Serve as a helpful resource for parents, assisting with questions, materials, and access to staff
- Answer and direct phone calls and messages
- Create flyers, notices, and reminders for families and staff (Canva and ProCare)
- Complete administrative duties including filing, organizing, making copies, and preparing packets
- Process new enrollments paperwork
- Coordinate and execute all internal new hire onboarding details beyond standard HR requirements, such as collecting staff photos, preparing "Meet the Teacher" communications, maintaining birthday and recognition calendars, and organizing teacher favorites to support a welcoming team culture.
- Maintaining sign-in/out sheets and recording late-pick up times
- Maintain new staff and new family folders
- Keep the front desk area, breakroom, and parent station clean, tidy, and welcoming with up-to-date information and handouts.
- Assist teachers with miscellaneous tasks and provide brief classroom coverage for restroom breaks
- Supervise and care for children remaining at CCA after 4:30 p.m. due to late pickup to allow classroom staff to sanitize
- May be required to cover the Wesley office front desk during times of need, including answering phones, directing visitors, and providing general front desk support
- Support office administration and assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Friendly, dependable, positive, and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable interacting with children, families, and staff
- Basic computer skills, including email, document creation, Canva, and ProCare
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Have an understanding of typical childcare policy and procedures
Professional Expectations:
- Must be clean, presentable, and dressed in a professional manner appropriate for a front-facing school role
Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hourBenefits:
