Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this Federal Work Study position is to provide administrative support within the department while gaining professional office experience in a university setting. The role assists with daily office functions including greeting visitors, managing records, and supporting departmental staff with clerical tasks to ensure efficient and organized office operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet and direct visitors, answer phones, and provide general office information.

Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing both electronic and paper records.

Open, sort, and distribute mail and incoming documents.

Perform data entry and maintain logs and spreadsheets as requested.

Assist with inventory and ordering of office supplies.

Type and proofread documents such as letters, memoranda, and reports.

Maintain a clean and organized office environment.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support departmental operations. Assist with game day operations

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow office procedures.

Ability to work independently and complete tasks accurately.

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible based on student's class schedule).

Regular and reliable attendance required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Currently enrolled at Arkansas State University.

Must have Federal Work Study awarded for eligibility.

Availability to work within designated office hours.
