Chandler, AZ Job Overview We are seeking an organized and dependable Entry-Level Purchasing & Project Support Assistant to help with purchasing activities and the completion of company projects. This position will support the team by obtaining materials and supplies, communicating with vendors, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with hands-on project tasks from start to finish. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist with researching products, materials, and supplies needed for projects. Request and compare vendor quotes. Prepare purchase orders and submit orders for approval. Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery dates, and order status. Track materials and supplies from order through delivery. Inspect shipments for accuracy and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items. Maintain organized purchasing, vendor, inventory, and project records. Help gather materials, documents, and information needed to complete projects. Support project teams with preparation, coordination, and follow-up tasks. Assist with assembling, labeling, organizing, or distributing project materials as needed. Update spreadsheets and internal systems with purchasing and project information. Help identify delays, shortages, or other issues and bring them to the appropriate team member's attention. Assist with invoices, receipts, and purchase-related documentation. Perform general administrative and operational duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage several tasks and follow instructions carefully. Clear written and verbal communication for effective vendor negotiation and cross-functional teamwork. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Dependable, practical, loyal and willing to learn. Ability to work cooperatively with vendors, coworkers, and project teams. Previous experience in purchasing, office administration, warehouse support, construction, manufacturing, or customer service is helpful but not required. Preferred Skills Familiarity with purchase orders, invoices, inventory, or product research. Basic spreadsheet skills. Ability to read and compare product information, pricing, and specifications. Comfortable working with both office-based tasks and project-related activities. Strong follow-through and problem-solving skills. Experience Prior office or clerical experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all essential tasks Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional demeanor and strong phone communication abilities Experience handling confidential information with discretion and integrity Familiarity with data entry, proofreading, filing procedures, and time management practices Personal assistant or office management experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key Join us in a role where your organizational talents will shine! Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
