Job Announcement Administrative Assistant, Elementary Job Description Under the direction of an elementary Principal performs a wide variety of secretarial, clerical and receptionist duties involved in coordinating the work of the school office; and to do related work as required. Distinguishing Characteristics Positions in this class receive a relatively small amount of supervision since many of the duties must be performed while the Principal is absent from the office. Frequent contact with parents, teachers and students is characteristic of these positions. Minimum Qualifications Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade; and two years of responsible and varied clerical experience, preferably involving frequent public contact; or sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
Upon Conditional Offer of Employment:
DOJ and FBI Criminal Background Check TB Test within the last 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667) Complete district Mandated Reporter training, Sexual Harassment, etc. Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Certificate (In-Person Training ONLY) In Person typing test with a minimum of 40 wpm.
