MEDICAL ASSISTANT
(Part-time). This position offers valuable hands-on experience in a medical office, ideal for preparing for Medical, PA, NP, or Nursing school.
Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and one of the Asian Pacific Islander languages (e.g., Chinese, Vietnamese, etc.) Medical office experience Computer savvy with excellent skills in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, data entry, and typing (REQUIRED) Experience in a medical office setting (front/back office) is highly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and work independently Strong organizational and critical thinking skills Excellent collaborative skills Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Answering and screening phone calls Verifying insurance Scanning and uploading documents Posting and submitting claims online Front office duties: greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling patient check-ins/check-outs, submitting referrals Back office duties: taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, handling medical equipment, maintaining patient records Other duties as assigned by the office manager or doctors Salary depends on experience.
