Job Description

Job Summary Heimark Distributing is looking for a motivated and reliable Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers, customers and employees and assisting in daily office and general administrative activities of the company. This is a temporary 40 hour per week position in Perris, CA. Start time is 8:00 a.m. Monday - Friday. Responsibilities The position is responsible for the following job functions: Perform daily processes in support of the administrative department of the company Answer incoming phone calls, assist sales personnel with their customer orders and changes, and other customer service tasks Process EDI invoices and orders Support Human Resources on day to day activities as well as special projects Perform various daily administrative tasks including sorting mail, sending packages, and other administrative tasks as needed Other administrative activities and special projects Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous experience in an office environment required Knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office skills (including Excel and word) Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and understand urgency and deadlines Must be reliable to work 40 hours a week Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills Strong customer service skills Quick learner, easily trained and adaptable to changing environments Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills Strong team player and willingness to help others Detail orientated with strong organizational skills Bilingual is a plus but not required
