Administrative Assistant Location:
Queen of Heaven Cemetery & Funeral Home- Lafayette, CA The Administrative Assistant is a high visible position, as the first point of contact for the families at Queen of Heaven.
- welcoming visitors, answering multiple phone lines, assisting with paperwork, and performing clerical and administrative duties. As our Administrative Assistant you will conduct yourself with a "Family First" approach and demonstrate CFCS' Core Values

8:30am- 5pm
Saturday :
Every other weekend: 9am- 4pm
Hours :
8:30am- 5pm/ 40hr work week 5-Day Work Week (40hrs) Full benefits package Retirement benefits Paid time off Responsibilities Serve as first point of contact for incoming families Serve as primary recipient for inbound calls Maintain a courteous and professional presence and appearance, and communicate in a compassionate and customer-focused manner Process work and burial permits within compliance, in a timely and concise manner Coordinate with internal departments and external providers Be knowledgeable of the Catholic faith, rituals, and traditions, including the Order of Christian Funerals Prepare documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence Monitor stock, submit purchase orders, receive deliveries, and keep supply areas organized and cost-conscious Sort/distribute incoming mail packages, prepare outgoing mail, and track deliveries as needed Escalate unresolved or complex issues to leadership to ensure timely follow-up Assist with onboarding tasks, like ordering business cards/name tags Perform other tasks and duties, as assigned Qualifications Must have a High School diploma/GED Must have a Valid Driver's License, good driving record and proof of insurance Must have reliable transportation Proficient with MS Office•Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook College degree a plus and/or 2-4 years of experience in an office environment Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Strong time management skills and able to meet tight deadlines Familiar with principles and processes for serving customers Ability to lift or move objects weighing between 50-75 lbs.
