Job Description

Overview Road to Independence, Inc. is an established agency in the Antelope Valley providing care and support to individuals with disabilities for over 10 years. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and bilingual professional to join our team as an Assistant to our Area Coordinator. This position plays an important role in supporting daily coordination, communication, scheduling, and administrative tasks while working directly with individuals, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the Area Coordinator with daily administrative and coordination tasks. Communicate professionally with individuals, families, caregivers, and staff by phone, email, and in person. Assist with scheduling and coordinating services and staff. Follow up on outstanding tasks, appointments, and service needs. Maintain accurate records, schedules, and documentation. Assist with data entry, filing, scanning, and other office tasks. Conduct occasional visits to individuals' homes as needed. Communicate concerns, changes, or service needs to the Area Coordinator. Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently. Skills Bilingual English/Spanish communication Strong verbal and written communication Excellent organization and time management Strong attention to detail Professional and friendly customer service Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities Basic computer and typing skills Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel Comfortable learning new software and company systems like Google Drive Ability to work independently and take initiative Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to maintain confidentiality Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally This role is perfect for someone who is organized, dependable, bilingual, and enjoys helping others. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
