This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing essential support to medical staff and enhancing patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a friendly demeanor, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet and check in patients, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and demographics Schedule appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and manage patient inquiries Process co-pays, and manage patient billing inquiries accurately Support patient flow by managing wait times and updating patients Handle inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and courtesy Prepare patient files and ensure documentation is complete for appointments Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and faxing Assist with other duties as assigned to ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Bilingual preferred. Proficiency in using office equipment and software for scheduling and record management. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
Certification:
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office or similar healthcare setting
Skills:
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
Technical:
Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care while working within a supportive team environment.
