Job Summary The Center for Academic Community Engagement (ACE) is currently seeking two reliable and detail-oriented Federal Work-Study (FWS) student to provide administrative support for the Health Career Ladder Programming. The position will involve working primarily in person and will support program operations by organizing materials, and assisting with communications. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Required Qualifications Must be currently enrolled at Western University of Health Sciences.
Must be eligible for the Federal Work-Study. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to individuals possessing a bachelor's degree.
Previous administrative or clerical experience is a plus.
Familiarity with Health Career Ladder
Experience with community events, outreach, working knowledge of higher education institutions.
Essential Job Duties Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Materials Preparation:
Help prepare materials and printouts for HCL Events
Help organize and prepare materials for HCL events, including Saturday Academies, Rainbow Academies, Fieldtrips, and other HCL-related events
Assist with organizing, cleaning up, and maintaining storage areas where program materials are kept.
Key Responsibilities Communications & Promotion:
Assist in drafting and sending email communications to participants and vendors
Support in designing and preparing flyers and other program promotional materials
Assist with promoting Health Career Ladder events and updates via social media channels.
Key Responsibilities Event Support:
Attend Health Career Ladder Program events including but not limited to Saturday Academies.
Note:
Saturday Academies happen once a month on a Saturday during the following months September, October, November, January, February, March, April.
