Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate full time Front Office Medical Assistant who is bilingual in English/ Chinese to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth clinic operations and accurate documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care and support clinical staff through administrative excellence. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive patient experience. Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Verify patient insurance coverage, process co-pays, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism. Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Answer phone calls promptly using proper phone etiquette; provide information or direct calls to appropriate staff members. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, ensure timely data entry, and perform general clerical duties including typing and filling. Support clinical staff with care plan documentation and health information management while adhering to health insurance guidelines such as Medicare, Medical Utilize EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for efficient electronic health records management. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for report generation and communication purposes. Qualifications Proven clinic experience as a medical receptionist or front office assistant in a healthcare setting medical experience is a plus. Bilingual in Vietnamese and English is required; excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and health information management practices. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure patient privacy at all times. Experience with medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, Medicare procedures, and documentation review processes. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; capable of handling clerical tasks efficiently. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person while maintaining professionalism. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; previous office or administrative experience is highly valued.
