In this pivotal role, you will support the development and execution of personalized fitness programs, oversee client engagement, and assist in managing the personal training department's daily operations. Responsibilities Assist in designing customized workout plans tailored to individual client needs, goals, and abilities using your expertise in biomechanics, physiology, and anatomy. Support the Personal Training Director in managing daily operations of the personal training department, including scheduling, client retention, and program implementation. Provide motivational coaching to clients during training sessions, ensuring proper technique and safety while encouraging progress through positive reinforcement. Conduct fitness assessments and body mechanics evaluations to inform program design and track client progress effectively. Promote fitness sales by engaging with prospective clients, explaining services, and highlighting the benefits of personalized training programs. Ensure all training activities adhere to health and safety standards by applying first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and manual handling protocols. Build strong rapport with clients through excellent communication skills, understanding their needs, and maintaining high levels of customer service. Support staff development by mentoring junior trainers on coaching techniques, program design, and industry best practices. Experience Proven experience in sports coaching or personal training within a health club or gym environment. Strong knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics essential for effective program design. Demonstrated ability to teach physical education or coach clients with diverse fitness levels using motivational techniques. Experience with fitness sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing members. Familiarity with health and safety regulations including first aid certification (CPR/AED), manual handling procedures, and liability insurance requirements. Prior work experience in the fitness industry that highlights customer service excellence and client rapport building skills. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of training sessions or equipment handling when necessary.
