Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant for a temporary, short-term office-based assignment in Santa Barbara, CA. This role is ideal for an administrative professional with 1 to 2 years of office support experience and working knowledge of QuickBooks. The Administrative Assistant will support daily office operations, assist with accounts payable tasks, manage incoming communications, organize records, and help keep the office running smoothly. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a professional team environment while using your clerical, organizational, and basic bookkeeping skills in a hands-on administrative support role. Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls, route inquiries appropriately, and provide professional front-office support.
- Enter and maintain accounts payable records in QuickBooks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process checks, assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, and support accounting-related administrative needs.
- Pick up, sort, and distribute incoming mail while helping maintain organized office workflows.
- Order office supplies, track inventory, organize files, and maintain records and documentation.
- Assist with general administrative duties, special projects, and day-to-day office support as assigned. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range:
$23 to $25 per hour.Position Type:
Contract/Temporary, short-term assignment.Schedule Details:

Office-based role in Santa Barbara, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Provide general administrative, clerical, and office support.
- Maintain accounts payable records and perform QuickBooks data entry.
- Process checks and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Organize office records, supplies, mail, documentation, and daily office workflows.
- 1 to 2 years of administrative, clerical, or office support experience.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks, including data entry and accounts payable functions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is preferred. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting accounting, finance, or bookkeeping functions.
- Familiarity with general office operations and business administration.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced office environment.
