Assistant Administrator - Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Position Summary The Assistant Administrator supports the daily operations of the Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), ensuring compliance with California Department of Social Services (CDSS) regulations, maintaining high-quality resident care, supervising staff, and promoting a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents. The Assistant Administrator serves as a leadership resource for staff, residents, families, and outside agencies and may assume administrative responsibilities in the Administrator's absence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations & Compliance Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility. Ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations, RCFE licensing requirements, and facility policies and procedures. Maintain required resident and facility records in accordance with state regulations. Monitor resident care services to ensure quality standards are met. Resident Care Coordination Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Communicate with residents, families, physicians, hospice providers, home health agencies, and other healthcare professionals. Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally. Safety & Risk Management Help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills. Investigate incidents and accidents and complete required reports. Ensure infection control and safety procedures are followed. Administrator Coverage Assume delegated responsibilities in the Administrator's absence. Provide leadership and operational oversight when assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to walk throughout the facility and respond to resident or staff needs. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
