Job Summary Job Summary General Description of Position Goals Under general supervision performs complex and difficult secretarial and clerical duties; often involving independent judgment.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Performs a variety of complex and difficult clerical and typing work related to the function to which assigned. 2. Compose and type correspondence, reports, bulletins, and memoranda independently or from brief verbal instructions or notes. 3. Independently assembles, interprets and organizes information and financial manuals, schedules and audits; generates and submits contracts with supporting documentation. 4. Reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established procedures. 5. Assist site administrators and other appropriate site staff in the preparation and expenditure of site budget for the purpose of providing information and support. 6. Prepares and/or maintains a variety of files, records and reports. 7. Maintains budget records, purchase orders/requisitions, and payment authorizations for a department or school. 8. Maintains files and records (e.g. personnel files, confidential files, staff attendance and timecard reconciliation, site budget, site inventory, key control, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and availability of required information. 9. Assist with absence attendance system for staff and substitutes. 10. Provides information, schedules appointments, meetings and/or conferences; notifies participants and keeps records, takes and transcribes minutes. 11. Maintains good public relations with students, parents, staff and community. 12. Provides information to district personnel and the public which accurately reflects district policies and administrative regulations and procedures. 13. Orders, maintains inventory, and distributes supplies and equipment. 14. Operate office machines and equipment. 15. Knowledge of computers and related software. To type at a speed of 45 words per minute or better from clear copy. Make arithmetical calculations quickly and accurately. Perform assigned technical/clerical procedures. To be courteous, neat and clean at all times. To be tactful, use good judgment, exhibit integrity and resourcefulness. To be dependable, industrious and in good physical condition. To understand and follow oral and written directions. To establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Three years of clerical and one-year secretarial experience.
