Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The EPA Office Assistant will provide general office and administrative support to the Guidiville Indian Rancheria Environmental Protection Program. This position will assist with organizing files, preparing documents, answering emails, scheduling, and other routine office duties to help keep the EPA office organized and running smoothly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide general office and administrative support for the EPA Department.
  • Organize and maintain EPA files, records, and documents.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, copying, printing, and data entry.
  • Monitor and organize incoming emails and correspondence as directed.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, trainings, and appointments.
  • Take meeting notes and maintain sign-in sheets and other basic records.
  • Assist with organizing EPA supplies and office materials.
  • Help collect and organize information, photographs, and documents for EPA activities.
  • Assist with newsletters, flyers, educational materials, and community outreach.
  • Assist with preparing materials for EPA meetings, trainings, and community events.
  • Provide basic administrative support for EPA grants and projects as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Tribal and program information.
  • Perform other routine office duties as assigned by the EPA Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and electronic filing.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Willingness to learn and assist with EPA office activities.
This position is an office support position and does not include EPA Director responsibilities or authority. Employment is subject to a background check in accordance with Tribal policies and applicable requirements. Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires regular travel and may involve working under pressure to meet short deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects and tasks of varying complexity. While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively by talking and hearing. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
