JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the SNF Administrator, Social Service designee, and Activity Manager.by coordinating a full scope of administrative and clerical activities within each department including central supply.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to: filing, coping, and data•entering for Administrator, Social services and Activity department. Composes, prepares and edits documents, reports, minutes, etc. as requested, ensuring compliance with standard formatting, accuracy and timeliness - checks records and documents for accuracy and completeness. Sets up and maintains files and records - establishes, maintains, updates and manages departmental filing system as needed. Ensures that all files are accurately labeled, retained and destroyed accordingly. Types and designs documents such as memos, emails, activity schedule, charts, tables, graphs, and spreadsheets while ensuring for clarity and accuracy. Works independently and within a team on special and non-recurring and ongoing projects for administrator, social services, and activities. Follow up with loss and missing under the direction of social service designee. Responsible for daily room checks, welcoming baskets, putting together admission packets, as part of the First Impressions program. Customer service tasks associated with new admissions in Lorber. Composes documentation of department metrics, budgets, price-comparisons, and other monthly departmental costs. Receives incoming calls and forwards calls to appropriate departments. Attendance at mandatory department meetings and in-service education. Regular attendance and punctuality. Assist residents with needs as appropriate. Additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Word processing and database programs literacy. Clerical skills including word processing, filing, knowledge of office procedures and practices, knowledge of medical terminology required. Ability to exercise good judgment and initiative in accomplishing responsibilities. Possess effective verbal and written communicates skills and the ability to manage and work in a multi cultural setting.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge and abilities listed, typically: AA Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
