DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support office operations at a federal program in Port Hueneme, California. This position provides administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting executive staff, coordinating office activities, maintaining records, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing travel arrangements. Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and clerical support to executive staff. Manage calendars, meetings, and appointments. Answer phone calls and respond to correspondence. Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings. Maintain office records and filing systems. Assist with budgeting and payroll-related administrative tasks. Maintain personnel records and documentation. Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries. Support daily office operations and administrative processes. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree in any field required (or four years of related experience in lieu of a degree). Minimum 2 years of experience providing administrative or executive support. Experience with office management functions. Experience maintaining personnel records and filing systems. Experience coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Experience supporting budgeting and payroll-related administrative activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) preferred. Knowledge of Navy correspondence and records management standards preferred.
