Description Demands Legal Assistant Based in Los Angeles, BD&J is California's leading personal injury law firm, with over $3 billion recovered for our clients , and we are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Demands Legal Assistant to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our demand writers and negotiators by ensuring that all documentation, records, and case materials are organized and ready for drafting and settlement processes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in a legal environment, especially within the personal injury space. This is a full-time, onsite position at our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities include:
Assist demand writers and settlement negotiators with gathering and organizing medical records, bills, and supporting documentation Upload, label, and maintain records in the case management system accurately and efficiently Create and maintain internal logs, checklists, and status reports for pending demands Ensure all case files are complete and up to date prior to demand drafting Communicate with case managers, medical records teams, and vendors to track missing information Assist with communicating settlement offers and related information to clients in coordination with attorneys and settlement negotiators Follow up with clients regarding settlement offers, questions, and requested information Document client communications and settlement-related updates accurately in the case management system Assist with coordinating settlement communications between clients, attorneys, and the settlement team Help ensure clients receive timely updates throughout the demand and settlement process
Qualifications:
