Job Description
Center for Behavioral, Educational, and Social Therapies (CBEST), now proudly part of The Stepping Stones Group, is hiring school-based Behavior Technicians (BTs) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for kiddos with behavioral needs in the Downtown LA area. In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact by supporting children in reaching their social, emotional, and behavioral goals in a school setting. What You'll Do Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to students with moderate to severe behaviors (e.g., aggression, elopement) in a school setting Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by Case Supervisors Support students in developing functional communication, social skills, academic success, and daily living abilities Track and document progress, behavior data, and session notes accurately Maintain consistent attendance and demonstrate professional communication with staff and supervisors Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred At least 1 year of experience working with children with diagnosed with Autism or other special needs required Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 7:50am - 3:30pm, 30 hours per week ABA training and knowledge of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Safety Care (QBS) strongly preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must Reliable transportation and willing to commute up to 10 miles (30-45 minutes) Physically able to kneel, run short distances, and lift up to 25 lbs.
