Administrative Assistant SafeSide Recovery Pueblo, CO Job Details Full-time $16.50 - $20.00 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Computer operation Google Workspace Google Docs Computer literacy Executive administrative support High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Pueblo Shelter / SafeSide Recovery is seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, managing multiple priorities, and supporting both administrative and day-to-day shelter operations. The Administrative Assistant serves as a welcoming first point of contact for clients, outreach clients, guests, volunteers, and community members while providing administrative support to the Executive Director and leadership team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage complex scheduling, calendars, appointments, meetings, and events Greet guests, clients, outreach clients, volunteers, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner Answer and direct incoming phone calls and messages Guide clients to their assigned groups, meetings, and designated areas Receive, sort, and distribute mail, Amazon packages, and deliveries Assist with providing food to outreach clients Assist with receiving, organizing, and distributing donations Prepare, update, and organize documents, forms, spreadsheets, and records Provide administrative and organizational support to the Executive Director and other leadership staff Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Assist with special projects and other administrative tasks as needed Complete assigned end-of-day responsibilities, including turning off designated lights and sound machines Help maintain a clean, organized, professional, and welcoming office environment Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is: Organized and highly attentive to detail Comfortable managing multiple tasks and changing priorities Professional, dependable, and trustworthy Friendly and welcoming while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Compassionate and respectful toward individuals from diverse backgrounds Comfortable interacting with clients, outreach clients, staff, leadership, volunteers, donors, and the public A strong communicator with excellent phone and interpersonal skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Able to work independently while also being a strong team member Able to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment when handling sensitive information
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous administrative, office, customer service, or related experience preferred Strong computer skills required Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets Ability to learn new systems and procedures Shelter, nonprofit, social services, or client-support experience is a plus
Pay:
$16.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
