Monday- Friday, TBD Position Summary :
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. In this role you will provide support for our managers and employees, assisting with daily office needs and managing our company's general administrative activities..
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Serve as primary point of contact for patients undergoing breast imaging Serve as liaison between patient, provider, and imaging facility Communicate imaging results to patients as directed by providers Schedule and coordinate screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, and breast ultrasounds in-office or with referral to outside facility Assist with coordinating same-day or expedited diagnostic imaging when indicated Provide patients with clear instructions for appointments, preparation, and follow-up steps Provide patient education regarding imaging results, next steps, and expectations Provide high-touch navigation for patients with abnormal or complex findings Track all patients with abnormal findings through resolution Ensure appropriate follow-up imaging, biopsies, and consultations are scheduled and completed Collaborate with in-office imaging vendor and radiology partners Ensure clinical documentation and orders supports medical necessity for diagnostic imaging Manage referrals to breast specialists/surgeons as indicated and track through resolution, coordinate transfer of prior imaging, reports, and clinical documentation Track completion of external studies and ensure results are received, reviewed, and documented per internal workflows for provider communication Maintain breast tracking systems for abnormal findings, pending results, overdue follow-ups, and other care gaps as identified by providers Tracking of key breast program quality metrics as assigned
Skills/qualifications:
High school diploma, Associates or BA preferred. 1-2 years previous experience in a similar or related position. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with ability to manage multiple tasks. Clear and professional communication with patients and clinical staff. Basic understanding of medical terminology; breast imaging familiarity preferred.
