Full-Time Join our team and help support a thriving educational environment where students and staff can succeed! RSD #11 is seeking a dedicated and organized Student Services Administrative Assistant to join our Central Office team. As a key member of our Central Office staff, the ideal candidate will have prior experience in an administrative / Student Services role, strong multitasking abilities, and a commitment to supporting a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary Student Services point of contact for students, parents, and staff. Manage school and special education records and student information using PowerSchool / CT-SEDS. Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, handling correspondence, state reporting, and scheduling meetings, securing transportation Maintain financial records and assist with accounting tasks using QuickBooks or similar accounting software. Assist with payroll processing, invoice management, and budgeting tasks. Support school leadership and teachers by preparing reports, maintaining files, and ensuring efficient office operations. Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ensure compliance with federal, state, AND school special education policies and procedures Other duties as assigned by administration
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a secretary, preferably in a school/Student Services setting. Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software. Familiarity with PowerSchool / CT-SEDS or similar student information systems. Strong organization, communication skills, and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a school or educational institution. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and office management principles. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

$20.00 - $26.52/hour How to
