In this vital role, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Responsibilities Implement prescribed physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and documentation standards Conduct thorough clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems Perform manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other therapeutic interventions to facilitate pain relief and mobility improvement Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, including modalities used in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and other specialties Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals—including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses—to optimize patient care strategies and discharge planning Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress expectations, and home exercise programs Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and ensure all medical documentation meets regulatory requirements for legal accuracy and completeness Qualifications Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the relevant state or region Proven experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology Skilled in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices Ability to operate physical therapy equipment safely and manage electronic health records efficiently Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions Prior experience with discharge planning processes and acute care settings is highly desirable Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills directly enhance patient recovery journeys.
