Affordable and comprehensive benefits package TheDiet Clerkassists the department by primarily performing stocking duties, along with additional support tasks as needed. This role also includes clerical responsibilities related to preparing patient meal service, such as accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selection using the CBORD system.

Shift:
PRN (8 hours weekly)
Rotating Weekends Included Education:
High school graduate or equivalent combination of training experience.
One-year clerical experience or an equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.
Food service experience preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Photocopy and manage diet office documents.
- Provides support with daily meal tray deliveries to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Restocking and heavy lifting
- Train new hires effectively.
- Understand diet reports, print times, and their purpose.
- Collaborate with Dietitians, Team Leaders, and Nurses.
After training, accurately modify diet orders, including:
Texture diets (Puree, Minced & Moist, Soft & Bite Sized)
Medical diets (Sodium Restricted, Carb Controlled, Clear/Full Liquid, Low Fiber, Heart Healthy, Vegetarian, Renal, Bariatric)
Add-ons/restrictions (thickened liquids, supplements, fluid restriction, NPO)
Clarify diet orders with Nursing/Dietitians as needed.
Obtain accurate meal census counts manually and electronically.
Transcribe menu orders accurately into the software system.
Provide support to nursing and departments regarding food-related issues.
Enter and update tube feeding orders; convert measurements and gather supplies.
Use and navigate the CBORD system.

Salary Range:
Minimum $23.00/hour - Maximum $23.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
