Administrative Assistant, High School Program in Atlantic Beach Spring River School Atlantic Beach, FL Job Details Part-time From $20 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Administrative experience Bachelor's degree Working with students Full Job Description High School Administrative Assistant Spring River High School | Atlantic Beach, FL Part-Time | School-Year Position | Approximately 30.5 Hours/Week $20.00 per hour Spring River High School is seeking a warm, organized, dependable Administrative Assistant to provide consistent onsite support for our growing high school community. This is an active, people-centered role for someone who enjoys working with teenagers, can keep multiple details moving at once, and brings both professionalism and warmth to a school environment. The Administrative Assistant serves as a central presence on campus—welcoming students and visitors, supporting daily operations, helping students stay accountable throughout the school day, and ensuring that routine administrative needs are handled consistently. What You'll Do Responsibilities include: Welcome students and visitors and support morning arrival and daily campus flow Monitor the school phone, administrative email, secured entrance, visitors, and deliveries Provide student supervision during transitions, breaks, lunch, and occasional study periods Support attendance, student check-in/check-out, schedules, calendars, forms, and administrative records Respond to routine family and faculty questions and route more complex matters to High School leadership Coordinate substitute assignments and assist faculty with routine administrative needs Help organize field trips, Graduation, Spring Ball, Grad Bash, Open Houses, and other High School events Communicate with approved vendors and track reservations, forms, payments, confirmations, and deadlines Monitor routine school supplies and help keep classrooms and shared spaces organized and ready for students Take and organize photographs of classroom learning and student life for school communications and the yearbook Support the High School yearbook and other community-facing projects Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: Highly organized, reliable, and attentive to detail Comfortable and confident working with high school students Warm and approachable while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Able to communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, faculty, and vendors Comfortable using email, shared documents, spreadsheets, calendars, and similar administrative technology Able to work independently within established procedures while recognizing when a situation should be escalated to leadership Discreet and trustworthy with confidential student, family, personnel, and organizational information Comfortable taking photographs and helping document the life of the school Previous administrative, school, nonprofit, customer-service, or office-support experience is preferred. Experience working with adolescents or in an educational environment is also preferred. Because this position includes access to confidential student and family information as well as student-supervision responsibilities, the employee may not have a child currently enrolled in the Spring River High School program.
Schedule & Compensation Monday-Wednesday:
8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Thursday-Friday:
8:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Includes a daily one-hour unpaid break. Approximately 30.5 paid hours per week
Pay:
$20.00 per hour Employment term: Effective immediately through the end of May 2027 Employees are eligible for a 15% tuition remission for currently enrolled students in eligible Spring River programs. This is an onsite position at our Pine Street High School campus in Atlantic Beach, Florida.
