We are currently seeking an experienced Pre-Suit Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join our team in our Boynton Beach office . This position is ideal for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working directly with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies and takes ownership of keeping cases moving forward. Position Overview As a Pre-Suit Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support throughout the pre-suit process, working closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure cases progress efficiently toward resolution. The successful candidate will be highly responsive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple cases and competing priorities. Most importantly, this individual must be able to independently follow up on outstanding information and documentation without constant prompting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Communicate regularly and professionally with clients regarding their treatment, case status, and outstanding information. Communicate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, attorneys, and other third parties on behalf of the firm. Open and maintain insurance claims and obtain necessary claim information and documentation. Request, obtain, organize, and maintain medical records, medical bills, balances, lien information, and other case-related documentation. Follow up consistently with medical providers and other third parties to obtain outstanding records, bills, balances, and liens. Monitor client treatment and assist with gathering the documentation necessary to evaluate and move cases toward resolution. Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files and ensure case information is current. Track outstanding items and proactively follow up to prevent delays in the progression of a case. Assist with preparing case materials and documentation for attorney and paralegal review. Maintain professional and timely communication with clients throughout the pre-suit process. Prioritize and manage multiple cases and competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Identify missing information or potential issues and bring them to the attention of the appropriate attorney or paralegal. Follow firm procedures and case-management protocols to ensure cases are handled consistently and efficiently. Perform additional pre-suit legal support duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in Plaintiff Personal Injury. Experience working in a pre-suit personal injury environment strongly preferred. Familiarity with insurance claims, medical records, medical billing, and personal injury terminology. Knowledge of common insurance coverages and types of liens that may apply to personal injury claims is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Highly proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to follow up on outstanding items without constant direction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional and compassionate approach to client communication. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
