Role:
In our high-volume orthopedic practice, the Appointment Scheduler is the engine that keeps everything running smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for patients seeking relief from pain or injury—helping them get scheduled quickly, accurately, and with confidence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple priorities, and stays calm under pressure.
What You'll Do:
Manage a high call volume with professionalism, efficiency, and empathy Quickly and accurately schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments across multiple providers and specialties Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information in real time Identify urgent needs and help prioritize patients appropriately Ensure all patient records are complete and detailed to support seamless clinical care Direct calls and inquiries to the correct departments without delay Stay on top of voicemails, internal messages, and task queues throughout the day Return patient calls promptly to maintain access and satisfaction Partner with the Clinic Director and clinical staff to accommodate urgent "work-in" appointments Assist with collecting outstanding balances when needed Contribute to a team-focused environment where flexibility and support are key
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand office setting Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills Clear, confident communication and a patient-first mindset Solid computer skills; experience with EMR systems is a plus Prior experience in orthopedic, specialty care, or outpatient rehab strongly preferred A team-oriented attitude with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency Why Join Us?
