Job Description
Front Office Patient Services Representative Busy Infectious Disease practice in West Bradenton is seeking an experienced Front Office Patient Services Representative to join our team immediately. We are looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical office and is committed to providing outstanding patient care and customer service. Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and out for appointments Answer and triage incoming telephone calls Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments Verify commercial and government insurance eligibility and benefits using Availity and payer websites Obtain prior authorizations for office visits, radiology, and other services Gather and review medical records from hospitals and referring providers Collect and organize supporting medical documentation, including laboratory results, consultation notes, physician orders, and radiology reports Process medical records requests in a timely and accurate manner Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality Perform other front office duties as assigned Cover at additional locations as needed for vacation coverage Qualifications Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations Knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance plans Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding Understanding of medical terminology Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Excel experience is a plus Ability to work independently while contributing as a team member Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred Position Details Full-time Monday-Friday 8:15 am to 4:30 pm Competitive pay based on experience Benefits available
