Overview Join our dynamic office/finance team as an Office Assistant specializing in Accounts Payable (A/P), where your attention to detail and organizational skills will drive efficient financial operations. In this vital role, you will support the processing of invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with financial policies. Your proactive approach will help maintain accurate records, streamline workflows, and uphold the integrity of our financial systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in accounting software and financial procedures within a collaborative environment committed to excellence. Duties Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice entry, verification, and approval using financial software. Perform data entry of invoices, payments, and vendor information with precision and attention to detail. Reconcile accounts payable transactions through general ledger accounting and account reconciliation techniques. Utilize Excel data analysis skills, including formulas and VLOOKUP functions, to support invoice processing and financial reporting. Assist with accounts receivable management and monitor outstanding payments to ensure timely collections. Support accounts payable automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements. Proven performance in an office setting as an administrative assistant/manager is required. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable or related functions. Familiarity with financial software such as SAP PeopleSoft, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro, or similar systems. Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management. Knowledge of accounting concepts including GAAP compliance and financial data handling best practices. Experience working within public accounting environments or corporate accounting departments is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency in EPICOR is a plus.
